Meet Vanessa Lewis: Employee Spotlight Series

January 14, 2026

Vanessa Lewis’ journey with MCAP began over 16 years ago. In her current role as the Associate Director of the Reporting & Analytics team within Single Family Operations, she’s responsible for providing support to the business by translating business needs into data metrics and reporting that helps support daily operations.

From developing and documenting standards, processes, and business rules, her role and her team are integral in how MCAP delivers on our promises to our clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. “I love the variety of work and the vast areas of the business we support on a weekly basis,” Vanessa shares. “Every week brings something new — whether it’s diving into different projects, partnering with new stakeholders, or uncovering insights in unexpected areas.”

A Supportive and Collaborative Culture

Throughout her career, Vanessa’s progression has been cultivated by MCAP’s opportunities for continuous learning and growth. And these opportunities have manifested in a variety of ways, such as access to new projects, leadership training, and mentorship. Reflecting on her growth, Vanessa shares, “I feel encouraged to stretch my skills and take on challenges that prepare me for the next step in my career.”

I love the culture of collaboration and curiosity.

Vanessa is intentional in how she supports her team by building them up and encouraging them to pursue areas of growth. “Our team thrives on problem-solving and continuous learning, and the company empowers us with the tools, trust, and autonomy to make a difference,” she explains. “It’s motivating to be surrounded by talented people who challenge each other to raise the bar and share in each other’s successes.”

Always Putting People First

One of the distinguishing factors of MCAP’s Blue Culture is that We Serve People. From stakeholders to homeowners, we always put people first in what we do – that includes our employees. As Vanessa explains, “Blue Culture is built around people, with a strong focus on supporting their well-being, which positively influences my day-to-day role.”

Technical skills and expertise open doors, but curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with others will keep those doors open and lead you further.

One of the aspects Vanessa values most about her role is collaborating with her peers who bring diverse skills and perspectives and engaging in meaningful discussions that spark creativity and drive effective problem-solving. Her advice to those looking to grow their career in a meaningful way: “Always be intentional about learning and relationships.”
