Sean Lippitt recently joined MCAP’s Development Finance Group as Senior Director. Since 2003, Sean has held many roles in the banking industry in a variety of business lines. Over the past 19 years, he has specifically been focused on real estate finance. |
Experience That Gets Results
Sean’s tenure and experience are highlighted by his achievements, like managing a $1.5B (authorized) loan portfolio achieving $Nil loan losses and strong credit performance through multiple economic cycles. As well, he recently led a specialized real estate lending group with one of the Big 6 Banks.

For Sean, success means more than getting results. “I’m driven by a strong passion for real estate and being a trusted partner for clients,” Sean explains. Working with clients to provide creative, cost effective, efficient financing solutions to assist with their goals is a key motivator behind what he does.
To stay engaged with the real estate community, Sean is also an active participant in different conferences and competitions. He has served as a panelist for the Western Canadian Apartment Conference in 2019 and 2023, and the Calgary Real Estate Forum in 2023 and 2024, and as a judge for the Westman School of Real Estate Studies Case Competition 2022 to 2024, as well as the Enactus National Exposition in 2025.
