Michael Roulston has been part of the MCAP team for three decades. Starting out in Toronto before making the move to Calgary, he has spent much of his time on new loan origination, especially on real estate development loans with most of his experience being heavily transaction-oriented. “I spent the first part of my career in the commercial loan workout division in the 1990s, which gave great insight into managing risk when I started on the new loan origination side,” Roulston explains. |
“MCAP has afforded me the opportunity to work in one form or another on countless real estate transactions from small to large with many creative structures over the years.”
Taking On a New Role to Reach New Goals with the Development Finance Group
After many successful years as Managing Director for the Development Finance Group (DFG) team, Roulston recently took on a new role as the Vice President of Originations. This new role is focused on accretive new loan origination and expanding MCAP’s borrowing and investor base. “We are fortunate to have a strong existing client base of loyal Borrowers and Investors resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial relationships,” Roulston shares. “I am hoping to expose new clients to MCAP’s exceptional service and lending products and generate more relationships with new developer and investor clients for the long term.”
