MCAP a Founding Sponsor of Habitat for Humanity Montreal Affiliate
Together with fellow long time supporters of Habitat for Humanity, Home Depot Canada and Genworth Financial Canada, MCAP has committed to a three year partnership with the Montreal affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. This commitment includes annual donation of funds and volunteer time to support land acquisition, home building and capacity building for future developments. MCAP will also donate its expertise by providing mortgage administration services to the Montreal affiliate in the future.
On October 17th, 2006, Canada's 50th Habitat for Humanity Restore, and the first Restore in Quebec, was officially opened. Representatives from the Borough of LaSalle, Habitat for Humanity Canada and its Montreal affiliate and its three new Founding Sponsors were on hand to help celebrate this milestone. Restores accept and then re-sell donations of quality new and used building materials from distributors, manufacturers, construction companies and private citizens.
The Founding Sponsors also announced an exciting new building project in the east end of Montreal. MCAP continues to be a proud sponsor of Habitat for Humanity across Canada and we look forward to our new partnership with the Montreal affiliate.
