Mark Yhap is the Managing Partner of the Commercial Mortgage Group located in the Toronto office. In addition to his responsibility as the leader of commercial mortgages, Mark overseas the Real Estate Finance Group’s investment management and loan administration teams. These groups collectively manage the credit approval process, loan sales, commercial loan funding and reporting, and statutory and contractual compliance.

Mark joined the MCAP group in 1989 and has held a variety of positions that encompass loan origination, underwriting, investor relations, structured finance and fund raising. Mark was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

George Mejury is a Managing Director in MCAP REFG's Toronto production office and has been with MCAP since 2003.

George has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and, specifically, in the real estate finance business for over 20 years. Having cut his teeth in the exciting environment that was the smaller Trust Company sector of the late 1980's early 1990's, George has held loan origination and asset management positions with chartered banks and life companies prior to joining MCAP.

Leo St. Germain is a Vice President in MCAP REFG’s Toronto commercial loans production office. He is responsible for originating, structuring, and closing term, subordinate, and mezzanine real estate debt transactions including CMHC insured financing for a variety of commercial real estate owners, investors, developers and not-for-profit organizations. Leo was successful in having MCAP selected by the Province of Ontario to be a lender for its former New Affordable Housing Program.

Prior to joining MCAP in 1991, Leo held management positions with a Schedule 1 bank in corporate and real estate finance followed by a life company owned real estate finance subsidiary. Leo holds an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management.

Derek Read is a Managing Director in REFG’s Toronto office. Derek joined MCAP in 2010.

Derek has 30 years of experience in real estate finance. He started his career in real estate financing with a Schedule I chartered bank, then with a Canadian subsidiary of a large US bank, and most recently with a chartered trust company. He also was a senior executive with a foreign-based real estate syndicator; thereafter, he was a principal and manager of two securitized mortgage trusts specializing in CMHC insured loans and conventional loans on multifamily apartment buildings.

Vito Campisi is a Vice President in MCAP’s REFG’s Toronto commercial lending office. He joined MCAP in August 2011 after a 33 year career with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Vito is responsible for originating commercial mortgages with emphasis on CMHC mortgage insured products (multifamily rental, care facilities, non- profit housing, student housing, etc.)

During his career at CMHC, Vito held various management positions in Finance, Real Estate and Default Management, Non-Profit Housing Delivery and Agreements Administration, and most notably, managed the Ontario Region Multifamily and Homeowner Underwriting Departments from 1997 to 2011.

Vito is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP).
