New Loan Origination
With production offices in major Canadian centres (Vancouver, Calgary, and, Toronto), our origination team sources all major commercial loan types in all areas of Canada. From CMHC insured apartment buildings to mezzanine financing, each loan is priced on a risk-adjusted basis.
Asset Management
MCAP offers full underwriting, credit adjudication, deal analysis and portfolio management to its investors. We will work with you to establish a set of credit and security criteria for new loans and you can be as involved in the underwriting and evaluation process as you wish. Our leading edge credit scoring systems ensure a consistent analysis of risk and ensure adherence to established investor requirements. Our market valuation methodology allows investors to regularly mark-to-market their portfolios for asset/liability matching and risk management purposes.
Loan Servicing
MCAP’s team of dedicated commercial loan funding and servicing specialist’s service loans held by both whole loan portfolio investors and public capital markets entities.

Don is responsible for providing institutional investors with the opportunity to participate and invest in one or more of MCAP’s chosen product lines through managed mortgage funds, loan syndications or securitization structures. MCAP’s product lines include residential construction, commercial term and single-family residential mortgages. Don is also be responsible for providing investors with access to MCAP’s other services including loan servicing and administration, asset management and property tax management.
Don brings over 20 years of real estate finance experience to this new position. He has spent his entire career at MCAP and has developed a strong understanding of all aspects of the mortgage business including loan origination, asset management, loan servicing, portfolio valuation and structured finance.
